Archival Television Audio has begun utilizing a new technology called AudioAndText
which combines words and audio together for a superior presentation. You will be able to read, hear,
comprehend, and fully experience multimedia content in a timesaving, fully searchable format.
View selected content using AudioAndText which includes
the four Kennedy - Nixon presidential debates from 1960, and
a collection of lost and rare broadcasts from the 1950's, and 60's.
Help us preserve television history.
We are currently seeking grants and investors to enable us to digitize and preserve the entire
Archival Television Audio collection in the AudioAndText format, and to eventually create
an Archival Television Audio Museum. All inquiries are welcomed.

TELEVISION SOUND WITHOUT PICTURES

(Erased, Damaged, Destroyed, Inaccessible, Misplaced)
| Archival Television Audio, Inc. has recorded & archived tens of thousands of original one-of-a-kind television soundtracks which represent the only broadcast record of an original lost 1950s, 1960s, & 1970s live or video-taped television program. More than half of all television broadcasts, from the golden & silver age, have been erased, damaged, destroyed, misplaced or are inaccessible. Our peerless collection of television soundtracks were audio-recorded, off the air, at the time when these programs were originally broadcast. Until the 1970s, very few individuals or museums archived television programs. We recorded them on 1/4" reel to reel audio tape. Now, the video portions of thousands of these broadcasts are no longer known to exist anywhere else in the world. Duplications of these pristine soundtracks are now available for personal research, entertainment and educational purposes, only. No rights are given or implied. Any commercial use of these tapes is strictly the responsibility of the purchaser. Broadcasts not in the Public Domain may currently be copyrighted. |
