For 23 years, the Ed Sullivan variety show (originally titled "Toast Of The Town") reigned supreme Sunday nights on CBS. Guest celebrities ranged from the very famous, to young, up and coming performers. Tens of millions of viewers would tune in every Sunday night to enjoy the best in entertainment and the most interesting and latest trends in pop culture.

On April 2nd, 1956, CBS introduced The "Edge Of Night" and "As The World Turns" as television's first thirty-minute daytime drama serials. Created by Irving Vendig, the show, which was set in the town of Monticello, at first emphasized crime stories and courtroom drama. In later years, more emphasis was placed on romantic themes, common to most soap operas. From 1962-1984, one of the main characters on the show was Nancy Pollock, played by Ann Flood. 
On December 1st, 1975, the show moved to ABC television, becoming the first daytime serial to shift networks. It finished its run on ABC on December 28th, 1984 with the final episode.

 "HELLO AMSTERDAY, HELLO NEW YORK commemorates the 15th anniversary of television broadcasting in the Netherlands in a program transmitted LIVE to Amsterdam and New York via Early Bird satellite. Participants include  Mayor John Lindsay, and the mayor of Amsterdam. Robert Trout, narrator in New York, interviews a Dutch fisherman in Holland. We visit a a Holland-American soccer club practicing in Central Park and a soccer match in Utrecht, Holland.

The Eternal Light was originally a religious radio program starting in 1944 and heard on the NBC Radio Network. It came to television in 1952 and was seen on Sunday mornings on the NBC Television Network where it remained a fixture until 1989. The program was produced in conjunction with the Jewish Theological Seminary. 

Today's program is a documentary on the life of Anne Frank.
