Talk show host Alan Burke was an opinionated, bearded, cigar-smoking, talk show host whose personality was overflowing with sarcasm. Most of his guests were considered crackpots, many of which told of their experiences riding in flying saucers, which led Burke to an overabundance of ridicule for his guests. This syndicated series was seen late-night Saturday evenings. In New York City, it aired on WNEW-TV Channel 5.

In 1962, Williams was finally given a fall series on NBC; the hour show lasted five seasons and featured The New Christy Minstrels and the Osmond Brothers. His third NBC series, which premiered in 1969, featured comics Charlie Callas and Irwin Corey, along with Janos Prohaska; the hour show lasted another two seasons. In 1976, Williams hosted a syndicated series, entitled "Andy." The half-hour show featured puppeteer Wayland Flowers.  

Andy and family welcome the Osmond Brothers for his Christmas special.

On February 15th, 1960, Griffith appeared as Sheriff Andy Taylor on the Danny Thomas Show and arrested Thomas for running a stop sign.

Talkshow host Alan Burke was an opinionated, bearded, cigar-smoking, talk show host whose personality was overflowing with sarcasm. Most of his guests were considered crackpots, many of which told of their experiences riding in flying saucers, which led Burke to an overabundance of ridicule for his guests. This syndicated series was seen late-night Saturday evenings. In New York City, it aired on WNEW-TV Channel 5.

They include Ingrid Bergman, Sidney Poitier, Jane Fonda, Frank Sinatra, Natalie Wood, Walter Matthau, Diahann Carroll, Tony Curtis, Rosalind Russell, and Burt Lancaster. Frank Sinatra sings an opening number from the motion picture "Star!" Jack Albertson accepts a best supporting actor award, the first of many awards given this evening. Other
award winners and performers include Boris Levin, Abbey Lincoln, Jose Feliciano, Ruth Gordon, Marni Nixon, Henri Mancini, Don Rickles, Mel Brooks, Onna White, Aretha Franklin, Carol Reed, Bob Hope, Martha Raye (the first woman recipient of the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award), Anthony Harvey, Barbra Streisand, and John Woolf. Hank Sims introduces and closes the program.

This Special broadcast took 18 hours to tape the introductions, with Andy Williams joining his guests in bits of their hits ("think" with Aretha, "Mas Que Nada" with Sergio and "King of the Road" with Roger). Andy also sows films of ta Brazilian jungle and closes with a concert segment before a teen audience.

The sound of this Archival Television Audio Air Check was recorded at the time of the original broadcast, "direct line,"  resulting in excellent audio.
