Just days after President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was assassinated, Lee Harvey Oswald was apprehended for the crime. As Oswald was being moved from the Dallas police station, Jack Ruby, (full name: Jacob Leon Rubenstein) shot him on live television. Oswald was rushed to Parkland Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Ruby later stood trial before a Dallas jury for Oswald's murder and was sentenced to death.
